We had a very good consultation today for my daughter Erin Hindley.Although we could tell that Dr Kus was extremely busy and he was interrupted a number of times re other patients,he asked very good questions, answered any questions I had and quickly came up with a plan of action to treat Erin's problems.I liked that he gave us his email I case we had any queries and also that if Plan A of treatment doesn't work,we have a B and C! Thankyou.

Dr Kus has helped tremendously with explaining what is wrong with our son and kept us well informed even seeing us out of his clinic hours, I am more then happy with the way he has been dealing with my sons illness

Dr Kus is the paediatric oncologist I want on my team against childhood cancer. He was there from diagnosis and broke the very difficult news to me about my daughters cancer. He dealt with this in a very professional and caring way. Dr Kus does what he says he will do. He's reliable and instilled trust in me with regard to the care of my child. When things went wrong in the department he dealt with them promptly and efficiently. Dr Kus understands his work and explains what's going on clearly.

Dr Kus is a gifted doctor and has that rare combination in paediatrics of being approachable to the child, listening to and communicating effectively with the parents and giving his very best in every circumstance. He took over the care of my daughter from a colleague who had let us down whilst our twelve year old daughter has been very ill for a number of recent months. She has a serious problem with her bowel and although it isn't his speciality he has applied all his knowledge and experience to try to help her. He thinks around a problem and keeps trying when something doesn't go according to plan; we saw him inspire and lead his juniors on the ward without a hint of arrogance; he is willing to say when something is beyond his experience and will readily seek help from her consultant at GOS; he fought very hard to have her transferred twice to GOS; he volunteered his personal email address in order to keep in touch about her progress or deterioration ; he used all his knowledge of anti nausea drugs to help her; he always listened to us and , more importantly , to her and he's a thoroughly decent man who is clearly dedicated to his patients and his job. We have come across many different consultants in different hospital settings, some of whom have been dreadful. We have been very lucky that Dr Kus is everything you would wish for when a doctor is looking after your child. We trust and respect him; we like his gentlemanly and lighthearted manner and we really do appreciate his carefully considered approach in giving of his best to care for our daughter.

Dr Kus saw my 12 week old son and was so helpful. He made us as parents feel valued and showed a great interest in our son even though he was busy. He listened greatly to us about our son symptoms and we came away feeling a lot better about things.
